Tube Tussle is a multiplayer couch party game where players shoot each other with water guns to try and stay in the safe zone of the pool. Load and fire your water gun to attack in one direction and move in the other, but be careful how you position yourself—you don't want your opponents to push you out of the safe zone! Made on a team of four grad students over 15 days using Monogame.
As a Gameplay Designer it was my responsibility to design the core mechanic of play and the different obstacles in the game. Due to resources and time constraints we only developed the bounce buoy, however I created detailed documentation of other level concepts and obstacles that were used in later development of the game by other team members.
The latest iteration of the game was published after revisiting the prototype for an additional three weeks. My design docs were utilized in the construction of most obstacles in the game such as the bounce buoy, kelp fields, and sharks. The physics of the main mechanic (shooting water to push others while pushing yourself) were also designed and documented by me in pre-production phases of the project.
Tube Tussle is live on Steam, check it out!
